The Calderdale Framework Effective Workforce Programme has different stages, allowing learners to ‘step on/step off’ and work to a level that suits them and their employer and was developed to allow organisations to be self sustaining in the application of the Calderdale Framework.

Foundation Level Training

This is an interactive one day workshop designed to give participants an overview and understanding of The Calderdale Framework and its supporting tools. It is the first step of the Effective Workforce Programme, and equips participants with the knowledge and understanding to become Calderdale Framework champions in their organisation.

Calderdale Framework Facilitator Training

This course is for those who have attended the CF Foundation Training and want to be able to implement The Calderdale framework in their organisation. This is the second step of The effective Workforce Programme

This is a 5 day intensive course delivered over a 6 month period, including a work based CF implementation project. The first 3 days are delivered consecutively, covering CF stages 1-4, with the final 2 days delivered 6 months later, enabling action planning and action learning for stages 5,6 & 7 relating to the project.

Learning outcomes are at Masters level and a written submission (project report, project synopsis with reflections or critical analysis) is required.

Successful completion leads to becoming a licensed Calderdale Framework facilitator, able to implement CF in the host organisation and deliver foundation training in house (subject to licence conditions).

Calderdale Framework Practitioner Training

For those who have successfully completed the CF facilitator training and have evidence of successful delivery of the Foundation course and CF implementation. This provides your organisation with a sustainable model for on-going CF implementation and development of CF facilitators and champions. This is the final step in the effective workforce Programme. Clinical Skills Training

We can train your staff in our competencies using our accredited Taught, Modelled, Competent (TMC) methodology. We have a range of occupationally competent trainers who can deliver the Taught (T) elements and assess Modelled (M) competence. This training can be delivered in house for groups of your staff.

We have a strong track record in trusted assessor training (for equipment and adaptations) which ensures non OT staff are competent to assess for and prescribe equipment.

We train:

Support staff – Nursing HCA, Reablement worker, care assistant, rehabilitation assistant. Ensure your support staff are truly competent and assure patient/client safety and quality through our training

Assistant Practitioner – Reablement, Rehabilitation

Supported CF Implementation/consultancy

We offer a 2 day Calderdale Framework course for up to 20 people- this is a proven way to start your project. We support and facilitate participants on the course to analyse their services from a service user perspective and come up with ways to improve these services through staff development.

We can also support you by mapping your service analysis to our competencies and National Occupational Standards and assist you in developing competency based job descriptions.

Bespoke Project Management – we can facilitate your Calderdale Framework implementation with support as required. This package is tailored to your needs, and can include facilitation of all 7 stages of the process if required.
