Why Do This?
- To provide a consistent mechanism to train staff in new skill sets, and assure a standard of proficiency.
- Following service analysis it is possible to map tasks to the existing CF Competency Library.
- New competencies may need to be written – this can be done using the CF competency tool and competency templates
What should I expect after competency identification/generation of local competences?
You should now have identified a series of competencies reflecting skill sets agreed through service and task analysis. These will either be available via current CF competency library, or you will write them.
The competencies form the work based training and assessment for acquisition of new skill sets.
